3/4 C granulated sugar
2 C strawberry sauce
In a medium bowl, stir together the sugar and 1 cup of boiling water until the sugar dissolves, then stir in the strawberry sauce. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 baking pan and freeze. Stir the granita with a fork every 30 minutes until frozen, 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Scrape the granita into serving cups or bowls.
