White Dipped Fruit

From Very Best Baking


3 bars(6 oz. box) NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Premier White Baking Bars, broken into pieces
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
24 pieces fresh fruit bite-size pieces fresh fruit (strawberries, orange, kiwi, banana or melon), rinsed and patted dry

LINE baking sheet with wax paper.MICROWAVE baking bars and vegetable shortening in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; STIR. The bars may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until melted; cool slightly.DIP fruit about halfway into melted baking bars; shake off excess. Place on prepared baking sheet; refrigerate until set.NOTE: Pretzels, nuts, dried fruit, pound cake or cookies can also be used.
