From Betty Crocker Easy Mexican Cooking April/May 1997

1 pound ground beef
1 can (15-16oz) spicy chili beans, undrained
1 C salsa
2 C coarsely broken tortilla chips
1/2 C sour cream
4 medium green onions, sliced (1/2 cup)
1 medium tomato, chopped (3/4 cup)
1 C shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (4oz)
Tortilla chips, shredded lettuce, salsa if desired

Heat oven to 350. Cook beef in 10" skillet over medium heat 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in beans and 1 cup salsa. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Place broken tortilla chips in ungreased 2-quart casserole dish. Top with beef mixture. Spread with sour cream. Sprinkle with onions, tomato and cheese.
Bake uncovered 20-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Arrange tortilla chips around edge of casserole. Serve with lettuce and salsa.
