Tastefully Simple Nana's Taffy Apple Cake

Nana's Apple Cake Mix
2 large eggs, beaten
2 C apples, chopped
10oz jar caramel sauce
1/2 C Spanish peanuts, divided

Prepare mix according to package directions. Add 1/2 cup caramel sauce and 1/4 cup peanuts to batter. Pour into pie plate or 8x8" pan. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons additional caramel sauce. Bake according to package directions. Drizzle with more caramel sauce and garnish with remaining peanuts.
